Since arriving on the scene in 2016, Lemon Cherry Gelato has become one of the most popular offerings in California. Everyone has started making their unique version of this sweet treat, but we like to keep it old school, and our Lemon Cherry Gelato stays true to the websters definition. What started as a bag seed from a pack of Connectected’s Gelato 33 has exploded into a strain that’s become a coveted garden addition.
The buds on this strain tend to grow upwards and have a dark color that shows off the impressive dusting of sand-colored trichomes. Like a stray LEGO, these craggy, sharp-looking nugs would take your foot off if you stepped on one. There’s a definite funk right out of the jar. There’s some earthiness to the table alongside the lemon. Inside, it’s lemon and gassy fuel with waves of cherry candy.
That first taste is surprising. A lot of that candy gets left behind in favor of a woody, herbal front end and a sour cherry with lemon finish.
